A School Counseling Advisory Council is comprised of student stakeholders from all aspects of life. At Lakeland, the Advisory Council includes students, parents, teachers, school counselors, administrators, community members, and post-secondary representatives. The purpose of the council is to provide feedback on program goals, review program results, make recommendations about the school counseling program, and serve as advocates for the program. All members serve a 1 year commitment to the council. There are two meetings held annually, one fall and one spring. The implementation of this council is guided by the ASCA National Model and the Pennsylvania state's 339 requirement.
